On Tuesday, March 20, 2018 Juniors across the state of Tennessee will be taking the ACT. This test requires a majority of our staff and classrooms to administer. On that date, the only activity in the school will be the 11th graders testing. This test is a requirement for graduation.

All Juniors should arrive no later than 8AM. Room assignments will be posted in the commons area, and students must bring a photo ID to be admitted into the testing room. Cell phone and smart watches should not be brought into to the school on this day. All students should bring sharpened number 2 pencils, and their completed early dismissal form.  Students will turn in their early dismissal form to their ACT test proctor on the Tuesday, March 20. Students that return this form will be permitted to leave campus at the conclusion of testing.  Breakfast will be available to all students.

Freshman are not required to attend school on this day due to previously attended Link Day in August.

Sophomores will have the opportunity to job shadow or visit a college or trade school.  Juniors will take the ACT at JCHS and the ACT is required for graduation.  Finally, Seniors will have the opportunity to job shadow, visit a college or trade school or earn TN promise community service hours.  Students will receive a form during the week of March 12-16.  The Sophomores and Seniors must bring the form back signed by the location of their career, post-secondary visit or TN promise community service hours.
