Jefferson County High School 1989

I have been teaching for 20 years.

I began my teaching experience in 1994 teaching 5th and 6th grades in Sevier Co.

In 1995, I served at Rush Strong School in Jefferson Co. as a Teacher Assistant.

I moved to Dandridge Elementary in Jefferson Co. in 1996, where I taught 3rd Grade for 15 years.  I moved to 2nd Grade at Dandridge Elem. in 2011.

I moved to Mt. Horeb Elementary when it opened in 2012, where I continue to teach 2nd Grade.

I grew up in Jefferson County with my parents and three brothers.  I graduated from JCHS in 1989.  While attending Carson-Newman University, I explored several career options.  I realized that I had a love for learning and teaching children.  While in college I had the opportunity to work with children in different settings such as summer camps and mission trips.  I graduated in 1993 with my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.

After teaching for three years, I married my husband, Matthew.  We now have two daughters, Kinsey and Hannah who keep us busy and entertained.
