I am in my sixth year of teaching music and band and have taught at the elementary, middle and high school levels. This is my second year at Mt. Horeb!

I am from Glade Spring, Virginia where I graduated from Patrick Henry High School. I was a member of the Patrick Henry Rebel Regiment Band where I played trombone and served as the drum major for two years. After high school, I went to college at Carson-Newman in Jefferson City, Tennessee. At Carson-Newman I majored in Music Education K-12. I was member of many performing ensembles and served as the drum major for the Marching Eagles two years. After graduating college, I obtained both a Masters Degree in School Administration and a Education Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Lincoln Memorial University. I taught high school band for four years before coming to Mt. Horeb where I now teach music K-5, 5th grade beginning band and 4th/5th grade chorus.

I am married to Robert Gass, of Dandridge and we have two children Caroline and Christopher.
